It is our pride and honour to present the inaugural Dr. Kalam Smriti International Excellence Award to His Excellency, Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, President of the Republic of Maldives.

President Abdulla Gayoom is the leader of the Progressive Party (PPM) and came into power by winning the elections held in 2013. He is a dynamic leader who through his many economic reforms has accelerated the progress of the Maldives. The thrust received to the economy through his reform process has led to the improvement in the overall standard of living of the people of these beautiful islands.

Born on 21st May, 1959, President Abdulla Gayoom is married to Fathimath Ibrahim and has three children, two sons and a daughter.
